Emotion Wheel & Inner-Monster/Inner-Helper
Intro Art Directive: Emotion colour wheel - differentiating between emotions
Main Art Directive: Creating “inner-monster” and creating “inner-helper”
Description
This art directive creates a dialogue between understanding and acknowledging how and what your “inner-monster” affects the individual on a daily basis. The art directive allows individuals to articulate and better understand their negative emotions and thoughts by creating a visual representation by illustrating their mental illness as real monsters. Through their process of creating this “inner-monster” they can better grasp and comprehend what coping skills they can obtain to protect themselves from their “inner-monster”. By doing so, the second half of the art directive is to create an illustration of their “inner-helper” that will represent the tools the individual will need to battle their mental health challenges.
